I remember when I was a little girl and I used to watch my mum doing her makeup. I was amazed. I loved the colours, the powders and the sparkles. I can say that the person who started me on makeup was my mum. And I’m very thankful that the person I love the most is a connection to my passion When we are young, the moment we start using makeup is as important as the day we buy our first bra or our first pair of heels. We all remember the first time we applied liner and the fear we had of poking our eye. So what´s better than taking this step that connects us more as mother and daughter in a fun and relaxed way. That´s why I’m going to give you some tips to guide your daughter to a clean, conscious & curious beauty lifestyle. First of all, it is important to leave prohibitions aside. Since I was young, makeup has been a way of expression and I´m thankful that my mum …
Sometimes it’s fun to match! We match our shoes and handbags on special occasions, earrings with necklaces. Even a beach towel and bikini. How about eyes and lips? Pairing eyeshades with a matching lip colour is a great way to create a seamless look. It’s not always about finding the exact same shade of eyeshadow and lipstick – it’s more about finding complimentary colours that go together. A bit of this + a bit of that = perfection! We’ve broken down 2 looks to show you which beauties from our range to choose to create Andrea’s looks for yourself… Look #1 – light terracotta + ruby red
As a makeup artist, I love playing with dramatic eyes, dark lips and lots of highlighter. In my makeup kit, I have lipsticks of every colour, but I used to leave the nude tones for smokey eyes or stronger “eye looks” as I felt like they didn’t bring enough colour. I decided recently to leave my “intense dramatic makeup look” phase behind and explore my “is she even wearing makeup?” phase… Soft skin, together with a dewy and lightly bronzed look and neutral lip shade is the perfect mix for healthy looking skin. But how do you choose the ideal tone for you without ending with pale lips? Remember, we want to look natural but alive! And not as if our lips had vanished into our face!

Hyperpigmentation is no joke! As a makeup artist, I come across many women asking for a full coverage foundation. They ask me to apply foundation & concealer, plus makeup powder all over the face, in order to cover their pigmentation as much as they can. But let’s be honest: too much makeup doesn’t make us feel fresh or free! Something in these women’s eyes tells me that their hyperpigmentation makes them feel angry, sad, insecure… and basically unpretty. I know it affects them whatever their story is: pregnancy, sun pigmentation or age pigmentation. Personally, I think that every feature of you is beautiful and makes you unique, and you don’t have to feel ashamed. I’m going to share some tips on how to wear a light fresh makeup while covering your pigmentation. The secret is the GLOW.
It’s the start of summer in the southern hemisphere. Think long days, balmy nights, endless swimming and lots of sun! We love summer, it’s a big part of the Australian lifestyle. Bring on beach days, salty skin and vegan ice cream. Tropical heat is amazing when our winter bodies first start to warm up, but some days are just too hot (and sweaty!) Beach umbrellas & hats are essential, sandals come out to play and no way do we want to spend hours blow-drying hair.
It’s been a long year and finally – holidays are here! We wish everyone a happy and restful festive time with family and friends. To celebrate, we are getting glammed up! Most of the time, daily makeup routines consist of foundation, bronzer or blush, colour on the lips and mascara. This certainly is my daily look. For the silly season though, I want to go all out. I don’t usually focus on my eyes, and this year, I want to highlight them, add a bit more drama and make my eyes stand out. Our friend Regina has similar hair and complexion, and we used her natural beauty as the perfect palette to try out a look that’s all about the eyes. If you don’t normally wear a lot of eye makeup, this is the perfect tutorial to let your eyes sparkle. For festive dinners, celebrations and parties, this is your look!
