Pachamama is the goddess of fertility, generosity and the feminine in Andean cultures in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina. In Quechua and Aymara, ‘pacha’ is the word for the world, cosmos, time and space, while ‘mama’ means mother, making ‘Mother Earth’ a common English translation. The Sydney Latin American Film Festival created the Pachamama Festival in 2014 as a platform for people from diverse cultural backgrounds to renew their connections to nature, in a world seemingly at war with nature. It begins as a blank canvas each year and is filled by offerings of music, film, dance, food and storytelling in celebration and respect for a living earth that sustains us.
How often do you clean your brushes? I have asked family and friends this question and to my surprise most of them answered that they have never done it! The ideal answered would have been … once a week. I know we are always moving and think we don’t have time to be cleaning our brushes, but it is so important for so many reasons! We’ve been all about makeup for 13years and our evolution is not complete: we love to update, refresh, evolve our formulations, colour palettes, sustainability and packaging. We’ve made a big step for the environment this year, getting certified by the Carbon Reduction Institute to be Carbon Neutral. Now, we can happily announce we are expanding into products for the whole body and face..!
