It’s Mothers’ Day this weekend in many parts of the world (not in UK, so don’t worry, yours was in March!), which means it’s a time when we celebrate mothers everywhere and find ourselves thinking about the meaning of motherhood and how we’re doing at it! Motherhood is joyful, yet also hard work; it’s filled with triumphs, but also with massive fails; and really all we have to go on is what we learnt from our own mothers, what we learn from our friends and families and our own instincts (aka “winging it”) and what we learn along the way. We sometimes give ourselves a high five, and we sometimes feel like we’re letting the side down massively. Yes, motherhood is often an internal battle with our own maternal confidence!
