being a friend

As friends, we carry the happiness and hurts of our nearest & dearest. We ride the waves of life with each other – and I am so grateful for the amazing people who share their lives with me. Friends are different to family and lovers, these relationships have their own unique flare and intimacy and isn’t it amazing to be able to pick up the phone, or arrive on a doorstep, and be hugged, held, consoled, listened to, appreciated, propped-up, embraced, cheered up and encouraged? In life, sometimes our friends help us manage the other relationships in our life. We can talk about our family relationships and our romantic ones. Friendship can create a safe space to say how we really feel, get it all out, and vent, whether it’s about love, work or family dynamics. Friends can make us stronger and braver, remind us of our inner wisdom and reflect back who we are when we forget. Because we can all forget… we fall off wagons, give up on dreams, go back to situations …

feminine energy

Monica Yates is an ICF certified Life Coach and Period Coach. She is your go-to girl when it comes to anything period related. She shares with us the importance of honouring our feminine part and how to do so. “The modern world is predominantly masculine dominated and as a result, women have become much more masculine in the workplace, bedroom and at home. Now I’m not saying that this is a bad thing, but if a man is trying to be masculine and a woman is also always in her masculine, there isn’t the opportunity for polarity which is vital in a sexual relationship. I did an Instagram story about this last week and got a few messages of hate saying that I was alluding that women couldn’t be CEO’s and had to be sheep. Ummmmm….that was NOT what I was saying at all. In fact the opposite. I want my business to take off into a massive corporation and to be running the show! What I was instead saying, is that imagine if in the workplace, …

party eyes

It’s been a long year and finally – holidays are here! We wish everyone a happy and restful festive time with family and friends. To celebrate, we are getting glammed up! let’s get together

Holidays are nearly here! Another year is winding up and we all need a little break to take stock, celebrate the wins, reflect on the losses, and recharge for 2018. Usually around this time of year time feels like it speeds up. There’s more on the social calendar, plans take over and there’s often a rush to get the loose ends tied up before the clock strikes 12 on December 31st. Christmas or no-Christmas, New Year, holiday festivities, however you spend it, this time can be a joyous one when we focus on the people we share our lives with.
