We’re always so happy to collaborate with beautiful brands, and Edible Beauty is definitely one of them. Anna Mitsios, founder of Edible Beauty, firmly believes that we can all be beautiful by nurturing our body, mind and soul. Discover here one of her most recent bog post, where she shares how to take care of yourself and your body during pregnancy. “Whilst there is an abundance of information regarding foods to avoid during pregnancy, there lot of confusion around what women should be using on their bodies. This is equally important given we can absorb approximately 60% of what we put on our skin and given the placenta is not the barrier we once thought.

This month of May, GoodnessMe Box is running an exciting promotion with an amazing pack of Ere Perez essentials to win. An opportunity for us to share this interview of GoodnessMe Box Founder, Peta Shulman. What was it that drove/inspired you to create the Goodnessme box? When I was 21 what began as the flu resulted in three months of bed-rest experiencing constant headaches, heavy and achy limbs, low energy, fatigue and overall a low immune system. I saw a number of doctors during this time but received no real answer to the cause of the problem.
Enjoy our collaboration with makeup artist Liv Lundelius. Liv only uses natural makeup, and the results are stunning! “Working on Editorials is always so much fun, especially if you have a great team! This shoot was for Issue 29 of White Magazine. Makeup used to be to cover over and hide the skin – thankfully, those days are gone! We are all about using makeup to allow your natural beauty to shine. Most of the time we want to look like we didn’t try too hard, we haven’t spent hours in front of the mirror and we want our skin to breathe, rather than be overwhelmed by a thick layer of daily makeup. Plus, a more minimal approach to makeup can actually highlight your best features. So if you want to draw attention your eyes, your lips or your cheekbones, make your face a neutral palette with natural makeup, and then spend more time on the area you want to draw attention to. For a natural look, less is definitely more and it’s all about where you put the focus.
Some days you just want to shine. It can be for a special occasion, a wedding, a party, an important work event, or just because you are celebrating life and your place in it! We love those moments when you feel inspired, uplifted and happy. Life is full of challenges, but by marking the good moments every chance we can, the glass can start to look half full instead of half empty. When you want a little bit of shimmer, when you feel that special buzz in the air, when you feel like anything is possible and nothing’s going to stop you – this is the look for you. We call it crystal sparkle, after our favourite quartz crystal that is beautiful, positive and made by nature. Think clear, luminous, the quality of catching the sunlight or moonlight when it’s shining just for you.
Right now I’m all about the simple pleasures in life that actually nourish me. Last weekend, I realised that I barely spent any time at home. I was on the go the whole time and by Sunday night I felt like I needed another weekend just to chill out and catch up with myself. The thing that made all of this more hectic was the current trend in noisy restaurants. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like sometimes the experience of going out to eat in a big city is more stressful than pleasant. You have to wait forty minutes for a table, once you finally sit down it’s so loud you have to strain your voice to talk and can barely hear the conversation at the table. There have been a few moments recently when I’ve thought it’s all got a little bit out of hand! Dining out sometimes feels just like an extension of a busy life – not enough space, long queues, people competing for tables and time – it can …
