look – natural drama

Check this all natural and vegan look, by highly-skilled cruelty-free Australian makeup artist, Nicole Groch.

“My name is Nicole Groch I have been a professional, freelance hair and makeup artist for over 25 years and for the last 18 years I have also volunteered as the PR Director and official hair and makeup artist for the Australian non-profit organization Choose Cruelty Free. As well as using accredited cruelty free cosmetics in my work, I am committed to using the safest and purest cosmetic products on my clients as possible and write about the health benefits of natural cosmetics on my own natural health and safety blog LivingSafe.com.au.

Ere Perez Cosmetics is one of my all-time favourite, cruelty free and vegan cosmetics brands, because I know that Ere takes that extra step to ensure the purity and safety of her products. My personal motto, which I live and work by is that no animal should even have to suffer for human vanity.

Working to create this bold look on Alexis van Maanen for her photoshoot with Blaze, the baby rabbit, by amazing Melbourne photographer, Andrew Raszevski, for the front cover of the winter edition of the non-profit organization Choose Cruelty Free’s , “Cruelty Free List” was a lot of fun.

Alexis is an incredibly talented, young musical theatre performer. She will be playing the 2nd female lead role, alongside Tina Arena in the upcoming and highly anticipated stage show, EVITA THE MUSICAL.

Alexis is a true natural blonde with very blonde lashes and brows and with gorgeous, long and naturally straight hair.  I wanted to veer away from the natural look for this cover create a look that was dynamic and strong.   My idea was to show that you really can create any look that you like when choosing to use solely cruelty free accredited cosmetics.

To achieve Alexis’s look, I used a mix of cruelty free accredited brands, with Ere Perez Natural Cosmetics being the predominant range of choice to create Alexis’s dramatic, smoky eyes and dewy natural cheeks.

I used the following Ere Perez Products:

Chamomile Eye Palette in Gorgeous, Jojoba Eye Pencil in Black and my absolute fav Ere Perez product , ‘the’ Avocado Waterproof Mascara in Black.

On the cheeks I used Ere Perez’s Natural Cream Blush, Carrot Colour pots.

I also used a selection from the Ere Perez cosmetics range to create Alexis’s headshot featured in here on the official Evita The Musical website , including, Ere Perez cream Arnica Concealer, Cream Blush and Mascara. “

I’m Ere, Creative Director of Ere Perez Natural Cosmetics. This is more than a brand for me, it’s a lifelong dream come true. I was born in Mexico where I learned early on to value natural health and wellbeing. When I crossed the oceans and moved to gorgeous Sydney, I brought my heritage and love of natural living with me. Combined with the inspiration of people, places & nature I see around me daily, this is at the heart of everything I do – including being a mother to three children. Life is full and never dull! My natural makeup and skincare range is my absolute passion. I hope all women can feel healthy and beautiful – naturally.
